Also, Ruins of Alterac is a great place for farming the Frozen Herb, as when Mageroyal and Briar have gone yellow or green, FH will still guarantee an experience point and give you one or the other. Comment by subby I found an awful lot of Briarthorn behind durnhold keep in hillsbrad, it respawned fast and there was tons of it, always by the trees, mage royal in abundance here also.

Comment by no0ob i would recommend Hillsbrad Foothills for Briarthorn, few players in old maps, hence you can farm it more quickly more efficiently.

In like 40 mins i was able to farm a lil over Briarthorns, 25 Mageroyals i didnt take more, but there we're plenty nodes still and around 27 Bruiseweeds. Comment by Unelore Hillsbrad Foothills is, in my experience a good spot to get your herbalism up from 50, loads of Mageroyal and Briarthorn : Collected a couple of stacks of them in just an hour.

Comment by Scarydreams I use the following two addons together Carbonite and Gathermate2 they work like a charm with Carbonite you can select your first node to harvest on the map the left click the map then under route select current gather locations and it draws you a little map to follow and if the node is there great if not on to the next one.

I'd like to post my thoughts on this as well to maybe help out others: 1-Make sure you have herb tracking turned on. Don't be like me and go about 20 minutes and never get an herb until you figure it out.

Useful information for planning routes. And, be cause you do not dismount when picking herbs. Huge time saver. If you are skilling up or just want any herbs, by all means hit the frozen herbs. Soon you will forget about time and wonder how Briarthorn ended up in your bag. Also, I have not found any item or spell that speeds up herb gathering in this zone If you know of something, let us know.

Comment by sunsmoon With 9. I'm having much better luck farming Briarthorn and by proxy, Swiftthistle in Northern Barrens. I ran this outside of Chromie Time, in non-war mode, with flying on a Sky Golem goblin mage, no herbalism speed increases.

I focused on going from oasis to oasis, stopping by the raptor grounds between the Stagnant Oasis and Wailing Caverns, hitting the nodes between Wailing Caverns and the Forgotten Pools, and checking out the spots around the briarthorn mountains northeast of Crossroads and the nodes around Ratchet.

This was around a 10 minute loop, which was plenty of time for things to respawn. View in 3D Links. Darkshore is also a really good place to farm Briarthorn and Mageroyal. Not as good as Hillsbrad but if you are an Alliance player and you can't go to Hillbrad, Darkshore is the best zone.
